Nina Sparling is a journalist and audio producer based in San Francisco. She has reported on a long-lost, 3-D map of the city, Alaska’s long history of illegal radio messages, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s 100th birthday party.

She has written for outlets including the New York Times, the Paris Review, Vogue, the Counter, and Logic Magazine, among others.

Her radio work has appeared on NPR, KQED, KALW, Capital Public Radio, Alaska News Nightly, and National Native News.

Currently, Nina reports for KQED, Capital Public Radio, and others. She’s an alum of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
