Nina Sparling is a journalist and audio producer based in San Francisco. She has reported on a long-lost, 3-D map of the city, Alaska’s long history of illegal radio messages, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s 100th birthday party.

She has written for outlets including the New York Times, the Paris Review, Vogue, the Counter, and Logic Magazine, among others.

Her radio work has appeared on NPR, KQED, KALW, Capital Public Radio, Alaska News Nightly, and National Native News.

Currently, Nina is a reporter at KQED and an associate producer on the Science of Happiness. She holds a master’s in journalism from UC Berkeley.
